GGHS Jazz Band

The Jazz Band at GGHS is a club that rehearses after school on Fridays each week. The group is open to anyone with at least one year of experience on their instrument. Instruments included in the jazz band are: alto sax, tenor sax, bari sax, trombone, trumpet, piano, electric guitar, string bass/bass guitar, and drumset. Other instruments sometimes included are: flute, clarinet, tuba, and auxiliary percussion. The jazz band is led by GGHS alumnus Christopher Sterling, class of 2021, and current music education student at CSU Long Beach. Performances each year typically include Winter Concert in December and Symphonic Pops Concert in April/May.
